Margate, Kent
When you visit Margate in Kent, you can combine a cultural outing with the joy that being at the seashore brings. This Victorian town along the shore has undergone a renaissance over the recent years, kicked off by the waterside Turner Contemporary gallery arriving in 2011.
In Margate, you can also step back in history. There you will find the Tudor House, which is a 16th century Grade-II listed residence on King Street. This house is on the route to the seashore, where you can experience the mysterious and renowned Shell Groto. This set of tunnels is adorned with over four million shells.
